How can this be satisfactory – no public toilets on the sea front from the marina to the Old Lifeboat Station! I do not regard the Manor Grounds toilets as an adequate substitute for beach users.
Sorry you feel that way. Our belief is that public toilets’ provision along the seafront and surrounding areas will be sufficient.
WE have already lost the public conveniences to the rear of the Grove, are we now to lose those on the Elizabeth Hall site? Will there be a requirement for any developer to keep the toilets or replace them. This is a very important amenity for this part of the sea front.
No, any developer would not be required to keep the Elizabeth Hall toilets. EDDC will ensure the toilets next to the Old Lifeboat Station on Queen’s Drive will be opened all year-round to help make up for this loss. There are also public toilets in Manor Gardens.
